Founder & CEO |
Harvey Singh is the
founder of Instancy, an enterprise web and mobile
knowledge distribution and workflow company. He is
a pioneer in the field of eLearning, Human Performance
Technology, and Knowledge Management. Prior to Instancy,
Harvey served as Chief Learning Technology Officer
for Centra Software, following the merger of Centra
Software and the company he co-founded, MindLever.
Harvey also served as an advisor to eLearning standards
organizations such as ADL and IMS. In 2001, he was
nominated for the eLearning Executive of the Year
award.
At MindLever, Harvey was the visionary and principal
architect behind creating the industry’s first
system for rapid interactive content authoring, management,
and personalization using a pioneer learning object
and dynamic content delivery methodology. MindLever
received the Intrepid Company of the Year award in
2001 from The Council for Entrepreneurial Development
in North Carolina.
Prior to MindLever, Harvey co-founded Empower Corporation,
an online learning product design and development
outsourcing company which broke new ground in the
areas of simulations, games, performance support,
and story-based learning environments.
In 1993, Harvey also co-founded Empower India, an
off-shore development company producing cutting-edge
multimedia applications involving graphic designers,
programmers, instructional designers, and project
managers. Empower was awarded Company of the Year
in the Innovation Category by NCEITA (North Carolina
Electronics and Information Technology Association)
in 1998.
In 1990-91, Harvey was involved in projects at Apple
Classrooms of Tomorrow research lab, a think-tank
within the Apple Advanced Technology Group which focused
on the impact of technology on learning. As a recognized
leader in eLearning, Harvey is frequently invited
to speak at national and international conventions
and to write articles and commentary on the topic
of enterprise learning. Harvey has graduate degrees
in both computer science and education technology
from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in
computer science from North Carolina State University.

Kunal Thakkar has over nine years
of management consulting, marketing, market research,
product management and product development experience.
He has managed onsite as well as off-shore complete
product lifecycle projects in a variety of industries
like eLearning, software, financial services, pharmaceutical,
medical devices, forest products, food services and
power generation.
Most recently, Kunal was a Marketing Manager with
LIPSinc, a software startup company in Research Triangle
Park, NC. He was responsible for performing new market
research for CRM, e-Learning and online marketing
industries; identifying, defining, and managing new
product opportunities. He was also responsible for
managing relationships with customers and partners
like Intel. Prior to that, Kunal was a management
consultant with Institute of Global Competitiveness
(IGC), a management consulting company in Cary, NC.
At IGC, Kunal managed several projects for notable
companies including Fortune 500 clients such as Siemens,
ABB, Taylor Company, USNR and Liebel-Flarsheim. He
was also responsible for developing innovative methodologies
on Product Development, Supply Chain Management and
Software Development.
Kunal has a Bachelors in Electronics & Communications
and Masters in Computer Engineering from North Carolina
State University.

Product Management & Product Marketing
Dan has had a successful career as a CEO, Director,
Sr. Product Manager and Sr. Product Marketing Manager
of Product Development for several major technology
based learning and training organizations. He is an
entrepreneur and organizational manager who has repeatedly
achieved commercial success for multiple company’s
new technology solutions by leading teams through
the vision, conception, development, market validation
and customer implementation process. Most recently
at Centra (Nasdaq: CTRA), he played a key role in
transforming the organization’s go-to market
strategy from being software application provider
to being solution provider on top of its core technology
platform.
For each company, he has provided strategic and tactical
leadership, addressed unique challenges and delivered
successful products, which resulted in solid financial
gains. At MindLever and later at Centra (after the
acquisition), Dan’s primary responsibilities
included: Strategic Product Direction, Product Management,
Product Marketing, Project & Program Management,
and Pre/Post-sales Support. Prior to MindLever, Dan
was the CEO and co-founder of Intellec Visions. Intellec
an off-shore development company producing cutting-edge
multimedia applications and was in the business of
creating and offering both generic and custom-based
solutions for applications in the field of marketing,
education, and entertainment. At Intellec, Dan was
responsible for Product & Services Marketing,
Offshore Operations Mgmt., Product Development &
Mgmt., Creative Design & Direction, Instructional
Design, and R & D in New Business & Technology
areas.
His background includes over 15 years in building
technology enabled content/knowledge/learning systems
and product management with accomplishments in operational
leadership, product design, marketing, staff development,
training and customer service. He is extremely skilled
in team building and has consistently met or exceeded
goals in each position he has held.
Dan has a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and a Masters
Degree in Management (Operations and Finance) from
Bombay University.
