Online assessments may be included as part of an eLearning course as practice activities and quizzes or they may be offered as stand-alone units of content or certification programs. Student assessment may be tracked and scores are recorded in a Learning Management System/Database as per the eLearning standards such as SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) and IMS (Instructional Management System).

Instancy provides a framework to implement Question and Test Interoperability (QTI) and XML standards to package the online assessments.
